Why Prosecuting Attorney?

Chris’ legal career was born out of the loss of his sister in 1989.  Trisha was 16 years old at the time she was shot and killed by a man who had been playing with a handgun.  That man was subsequently prosecuted for manslaughter.  Chris and his family sat through the two day trial that ended with a verdict of guilty.

“I knew after those two days what I wanted to do with my life.  I was fascinated by what the prosecutors did for my family in that courtroom.  There was no doubt in my mind that I was going to law school to become a prosecutor.”

Chris enrolled in law school two years later and began a journey that continues to this day.

“I love my job as a prosecutor.  I get to help people who have been victims of crime by seeking justice on their behalf in the courtroom.  That victim may be a child or all of the citizens of the state.  No matter, I am passionate about getting justice for them and I have the experience to get the job done.”

Having prosecuted adult and juvenile offenders in Callaway County for 10 years, Chris is prepared to continue the journey and asks Callaway County’s voters to elect him as their next Prosecuting Attorney.
